Outsourcing reproductive health lessons to external guest facilitators helps reinforce what is already being taught rather than as a substitute for it. Community-based healthcare professionals include doctors, accredited fertility awareness instructors, nutritionists and naturopaths from the community. They form the external partnerships for Health Promoting Schools and contribute to student wellbeing by providing families and schools with advice on managing cycle difficulties, such as developing a health management plan. My Vital Cycles™ helps facilitate a school’s invitation to community healthcare professionals as external guest facilitators to deliver parts of the program. This reinforces the curriculum and supports the school’s ethos.
