Professional development based on Restorative Reproductive Medicine principles
Curricula-mapped outcomes: significantly improved health literacy
Whole school approach for better wellbeing, consistency, staff satisfaction and parent engagement
Poor Knowledge - Poor Health
≈ 70% of girls experience poor cycle health, including period pain, nausea, mood swings and heavy bleeding. This disrupts their school attendance, class concentration and sports performance.
Yet, >60% of teenage girls don't know basic anatomy, about half cannot say when the cycle starts and <9% understand ovulation.
The consequences of poor knowledge are:
1. Consent will not be informed.
2. Patients will strugggle to (a) give an accurate history (b) follow directives for cycle-timed tests to aid diagnosis, and (c) comply with treatment.
3. Shame, secrecy and stigma flourish in ignorance.
4. Embodied Rites of Passage experiences are dismissed.
5. Half the population will live in ignorance of their own in-built personal health monitor for 40+ years.
Any wellbeing program which includes girls cannot ignore the menstrual cycle.
My Vital Cycles® invites you to be the solution so that the next generation has the knowledge and skills that all women ought always to have had.

Professional development based on Restorative Reproductive Medicine principles
High-yield and medically accurate training sessions offer knowledge, skills and confidence to teachers and guest speakers in providing ovulatory-menstrual health education. For community and school healthcare professionals, training sessions offer skills for menstrual health care including referral for medical management.

Curricula-mapped outcomes: significantly improved health literacy
Aligned to the Science and Health & Phys Ed curricula, My Vital Cycles® goes beyond simply supplying information. It teaches girls how to apply cycle science to themselves and how to engage effectively with healthcare providers. It is the only menstrual health program which uses a validated questionnaire to give evidence of improved health literacy and wellbeing.

Whole school approach for better wellbeing, consistency, staff satisfaction and parent engagement
Just as there is no “one-size-fits-all” with the cycle, so there is no “one-size-fits-all” for how schools can implement My Vital Cycles®. Its flexible whole-school approach means each school adapts it to their context. This ensures that teachers and school healthcare professionals use consistent resources and work collaboratively towards students’ holistic development.
Dr Felicity Roux - Cycle Sage
"I should've been taught this stuff at school!"
This is what Dr Felicity Roux hears when women discover the wonder of how their cycle is an in-built personal health monitor. It motivates her clinical work as an accredited Billings Ovulation Method and Fertility Education & Medical Management educator.
When facilitating Consent & Respectful Relationships programs, alarming gaps were found in students' basic knowledge of cycle science. As a rite-of-passage trainer, she noticed teachers' reluctance to teach the cycle. So Dr Roux created My Vital Cycles.
